  1. Title: Someone is flying a kite
Galerie Bernau - Bernau bei Berlin, Germany

    Medium  installation
    Size 255cm x 175cm x 7mm
Materials authentic US 1-dollar banknotes, stainless steel structure

The work is inspired by the hyperinflation occurred in the first half of the 20th century in Germany and the Wall Street crash of 1929, comparing its consequences with the turmoil caused by the financial crisis of 2008 sprung from US.
The implementation of the work was based on the construction of a kite made of US dollars, as a reference to those made of marks by German children during the hyperinflation, as banknotes were worth less than paper due to the crisis.

The aim was to regain a childlike dimension with participants and to scale down the importance given to money as a main actor in daily life.
